Multiport Diverter
Last Updated: 10/01/2009
A Multiport Diverter valve can switch the path of water between several outlets. Multiport Diverters are often found in shower systems with more than one function.

A contemporary shower system can contain a rain shower, body sprays and hand held shower head. You would use the Multiport Diverter to switch the water from function to function with ease. This idea helps save room when compared to using several individual Volume Controls for multiple outlets.

Another benefit from most Multiport Diverter valves is the ability to combine two outlets simultaneously. For example, let's say you have 3 outlets - A, B and C - with a Multiport Diverter you could use the outlets in the following ways:

A or B or C (Individually)
A & B (Combo)
A & C
(Combo)
B & C (Combo)
