Wrong size. July 27, 2023 Reviewer: Stephen McSweeney from Camp Hill, PA United States   Unfortunately, this tapered sink drain is not the correct size. The cone portion of the downtube is too small to catch from my sink basin.... Perfect fit, hard to find part, saved a lot of cas June 9, 2023 Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Buffalo, NY United States   I have an 80 year old cement utility sink and the tailpiece rusted through. Plumber quoted $1200 to rip everything out and replace which seemed fair considering the amount of labor (nonstandard parts, iron everything, removing 300 pounds of concrete from a basement) but was hard to swallow for a simple leak. Instead, $40 for this drain kit and $15 for a flexible trap and we were back in business. If you have a similar sink the original tailpiece may have a bowl at the top, where the kit has a flat rubber washer/gasket. As long as the actual sink drain hole fits inside the gasket you're good. Mine holds to about 10 PSI - don't sweat it unless you're draining orca tanks at Sea World. Was this review helpful to you?
