This was purchased for a 1954 American Standard shelfback sink. It is NOT a direct replacement but it can work. The adjustable width is fine but the holes on the sink are almost as big as the front covers. Also, if you get the one with the pop-up plug, the plug mechanism is a bit too high for the center hole. You will need a diamond file to cut a notch in the top of the hole to cut enough away for the pop-up to pass through. I'd give it more stars if they put in wider back nuts, a wider front cover, and disclosed the pop-up issue.
