Not Exact Replacement August 6, 2021 Reviewer: Baldemar Garcia from Princeton, TX United States   I had read that these may not be exact size for older hydrants, and that is the case with my 20+ year old.  But a little filing should fix that and it will then work just like the original.  There is a square part at the end of the stem onto which the sealing washer attaches, and this is the piece that is slightly too big. Worked perfectly March 13, 2021 Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Parker, TX United States   Replaced the 4" stem that was leaking and stopped the leak.  Remember to subtract 4" from your actual stem measurement to get the correct size.  (Basically, my 4" stem was really 8" long) Was this review helpful to you?
