The original hose started leaking after 10 years, which may or may not be all that unusual. I’ve lost my zeal for this brand because the finish began peeling away a couple of years ago, the faucet has a niggly habit of seeping water from the swivel joint, and this latest event. Sub-par performance from an Uber-expensive brand doesn’t sit well with anyone. That said, Chicago Faucet Shoppe had the replacement in stock, was super responsive, shipped asap, and had the most affordable price for it by far, hence 5 stars. BTW, you actually can reuse the original metal base piece (it slides off at the faucet end after you get it unscrewed from the fixture) so it’s not the end of the world if your colour is not available…
