The plastic retaining clips ensure that the spout stays tight and doesn't wobble. This kit includes the Celcon washer for under the spout to prevent swiveling and movement. This kit allows almost any Chicago Faucets swivel spout to become rigid. Simply remove the Celcon washer to revert to swing spout use.
