The LevelGuard® Sewage Pump Switch from TouchSensor™ introduces Field-Effect sensor technology to reliably detect the presence of sewage or effluents without the use of any moving parts or need for direct fluid contact. In applications where effluent or sewage needs to be pumped from one location to another, LevelGuard replaces mechanical float switches used to actuate the pump. LevelGuard Sewage Pump Switches offer solid-state switch reliability for pumps through which solids of up to 2 inches in diameter are pumped. LevelGuard Sewage Pump Switches are ideal for retrofit, maintenance, repair and overhaul jobs where lack of space may present obstacles for other switch types.

So far so good
I should have made this upgrade 20 years ago. I've fought with my float switch for years. I sure hope this permanently solves the problem. Easy to install, self-calibrating. Perfect. The folks at Chicago Faucet were very helpful. The product was on backorder everywhere I looked, but they had them in stock.
